HD Mk II UV is the ultimate protection for your front lens member against scratches, dirt and impact. A great addition compared to a regular protector is that the filter also perfectly attenuates UV light, reducing the haze and blue tint it can cause with certain settings, so you end up with a sharper image.

HOYA HD Mk II UV features a special chemically enhanced optical glass that is four times stronger than regular glass and provides an excellent level of protection.

Its sharp UV cut feature limits UV radiation while having no negative effect on colors in the visible light spectrum, so there will never be any unwanted color change in your image. Since UV light can potentially cause veiling and blue tinting under certain conditions, the filter will limit such negative effects, making your final image sharper and brighter.

The 16-layer anti-reflective high-transmission multi-layer coating on both sides of the filter glass greatly reduces the possibility of any reflections caused by the filter. Since the coating comes with a water and oil repellent feature while being stain resistant, cleaning the filter is easy and stress-free.

The HOYA HD Mk II UV glass is attached to the frame using a special high-pressure molding technology, giving it additional stability that adds to the filter's durability.
