The UX II UV filter with water-repellent coating is a redesign of the HMC UV(C) filter, which is now integrated into the new standard UX II class series together with the UX II CIR-PL filter.The UX II UV filter is a completely new conceptual design product aimed at entry-level users, providing high quality standards with basic and advanced features.

The "UX" in the series name stands for "User eXperience", referring to all the experience users get with these filters and everything that comes with it. By naming this series UX, we want to offer users a better individual experience through all the activities associated with photography.

Although not visible to the naked eye, UV rays can affect the image when shooting in locations such as seaside or mountain environments, resulting in blurred outlines or faded and whitish images.

UV filters can suppress the UV spectrum found in daylight, which has a particularly bad effect on images. This filter can be used with both film and digital cameras and provides more vivid images. In addition, because it is constantly deployed, this filter serves as a daily protection for the lens.

The anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted reflections and increases light transmission.

A water-repellent layer has been added to the anti-reflective layer. This coating repels water droplets and makes it easier to clean the filter surface of dirt or fingerprints.
